The FBI made an arrest in the so-called sextortion photos case, the LA Times reported Thursday. The case involved Miss Teen USA Cassidy Wolf.
The suspect is a 19-year old man from Temecula, near Los Angeles. Wolf is from Orange County, California.
The FBI in Southern California has identified the sextortion suspect as Jared James Abrahams. Investigators say he committed cybercrimes. They say he hacked into victims' accounts.
The FBI says there are multiple victims.
Cassidy Wolf was Miss California Teen USA before winning Miss Teen USA last month at the pageant in the Bahamas. Wolf told reporters that she got an anonymous email from someone who claimed to have nude photos of her that were taken from her webcam. Wolf said that the person who sent the emails tried to extort money from her to keep the photos from being made public.
