Seahawks: A Little View About New NFL

Posted by immi Monday, December 9, 2013

The new league-wide bag policy goes into effect for the Seahawks versus Broncos preseason game on Saturday, August 17. The new measures are designed to enhance public safety and expedite entry into the stadium.

Fans will be allowed to carry one of the following style and size bag, package, or container into CenturyLink Field.

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12."
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar).
Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options.
An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: backpacks, purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, seat cushions with pockets, computer bags, diaper bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Seahawks game day staff will hand out one approved clear bag per person at the August 17 and September 15 games. These bags are complimentary and will be distributed at each entry gate at CenturyLink Field.

The team will staff three temporary Bag Check Stations, two in the north parking lot and one at the southwest entrance of the CenturyLink Field Event Center. Fans may choose to deposit their bag but must retrieve it within one hour of the completion of the game. Bags will be kept for 30 days and if remain unclaimed will be donated to a local non-profit.

Fans will continue to be able to enjoy their tailgate activities in the parking lots and to do so with greater safety and the knowledge that their entry into the stadium will be smoother and faster. They also will continue to be able to carry items allowed into the stadium, such as binoculars, cameras, and smart phones. CenturyLink Field will offer express lanes at all gates for those fans that are not carrying a bag into the stadium.

In recent years the Seahawks have enhanced its already comprehensive safety plans with additional measures such as pat downs, bag checks and hand held metal detectors. This public safety measure is being successfully used at other large venues.

Working personnel, including media, will continue to enter CenturyLink Field through designated gates where they will be subject to screening and bag inspections already in effect at all NFL stadiums.  Source and More Details
